Amnesty International Global Director Salil Shetty on CAAMA

Salil Shetty is the Global Director of one of the peak human rights organisations in the world…Amnesty International.

Mr Shetty…who has travelled to Australia to visit the Utopia region in the NT to draw attention to the human rights issues affecting Aboriginal people in the county and to see first-hand the effects Government policies have had on the lives of Aboriginal people.

Mr Shetty says the Australian Government’s failure to provide basic services to remote communities significantly tarnishes Australia’s human rights record and must be addressed immediately.

He speaks to Nerida Currey on Strong Voices whilst in Alice Springs.
